Drive Parameters was created to provide a free collection of parameters for hard drives. Initially, we intended to only provide information for older MFM and RLL hard drives. As time has passed, however, we've found an interest beyond these older drives, and have begun gathering and supplying information on more modern drives.

We have just introduced a quick and easy search feature to determine a product's manufacturer from the first 3 characters of it's FCC ID. Simply type the first three characters into the "Search FCC ID's" box on most pages and click lookup. If your manufacturer has current records with the FCC, it's name will appear on the results page. (We have found that with some mergers and company closures, the FCC data is no longer available, but in most cases, it does remain available.)
